This document catalogues the Bureau's standard document types and the templates governing each. It is referenced by Directive DX-000-01 (Documentation Standardization Initiative) and supports SYS-000-01 (BAR Documentation System). Where a document type has a dedicated detailed template, it is identified in the catalogue below.
§1 — Standard Identifier Format
All Bureau documentation outside of case files follows the identifier format YY-XXX-[QQQQ]-ZZ — document type, domain reference, optional case reference, and unique identifier (Compendium §7). Case files use the distinct CASE-XXXX-"CODENAME" form. Domain reference identifiers (000-x through 900-x) are specified in SYS-000-01.

§3 — Creation, Revision, and Archival
New documentation is created via Form REQ-000-01 with Division Director endorsement, and conforms to the templates catalogued above. Provisional documentation may be issued during incidents under Protocol PR-000-02, subject to post-facto standardization. Revisions are submitted via Form REQ-000-02; deprecated documentation is archived under Protocol PR-000-01. Documentation is reviewed on a quarterly cycle by Documentation Specialists within each Division.
